RESTORE AND REPLENISH RETREAT

– Tuscany, new dates TBC –

After months of searching the globe, we found our dream European retreat home, quietly set in a nature reserve in the heart of Tuscany. This 100 year old farmhouse was recently renovated and thoughtfully furnished with every detail in mind. Robust and natural materials have been used to preserve the charm of the house, whilst the warm earth tones reflect the surrounding landscape. 

Join us over the early May bank holiday between Thursday 7th – Monday 11th May, to restore, replenish and truly treat yourself in the breathtaking rolling hills of Tuscany.

During this intimate retreat, you will be looked after by Pilates Teacher Zoe-Maia, Yoga Teacher Jess Learoyd, Plant Based Chef and Cookbook Author Niki Webster from Rebel Recipes and Holistic Facialist Nicole Windas.

We’ve created a nurturing and balanced schedule of daily movement practices, local walks, cooking workshops, nourishing facial treatments, plant based food, natural skincare making workshops and lots more! All of this from the comfort of your very own peaceful Tuscan holiday home.

THE PRACTICE

We will be offering a mindfully created combination of movement practices throughout your stay.

You can expect morning energising Pilates classes led by Zoe-Maia, designed to mobilise, lengthen and tone the entire body with particular emphasis on developing your core strength, promoting improved posture, alignment and body awareness. You will have the opportunity to try both classical and contemporary styles of Pilates throughout the retreat.

We will also have a wonderful yoga teacher, Jess Learoyd, leading your through afternoon energising Power Yoga classes following by Yin Yoga, to wind down from the day and promote restful sleep throughout the retreat.

All practices are suitable for all levels and modifications will be provided.

ZOE-MAIA

Zoe-Maia is the founder of MAIA well co., a qualified Holistic Health Coach and Classical & Contemporary Pilates instructor. She began to study Pilates after years of falling in love with the practice and learning first hand of its significant benefits to both the mind and body, following years of burn-out during her previous career in the corporate world.

Zoe’s classes are designed with both physical and mental wellbeing in mind, using conscious dynamic Pilates exercises which focus upon developing core strength, lengthening and toning all muscles to promote improved posture, balance and alignment, whilst using conscious breath-work to facilitate movement and improve flexibility.

JESS LEAROYD

Jess was introduced to yoga by a friend whilst living in Sydney, exploring options to get her body moving in unique ways but also all that came with it, both physically and mentally. She enjoyed offering herself time and space, linking breath with movement and bringing some much needed softness into a busy lifestyle. Four years of practice later, she completed her Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga teacher training in Goa. She used both styles in her classes, using Ashtanga elements by holding asana’s to ignite the fire in our body, feeling the correct alignment and moving the breath around to the right places then, flowing through the same movements exploring a more fluid vinyasa practice using the breath as your rhythm. Within her classes, she will guide you through a strong practice, leaving you feeling centred, fulfilled and reenergised.

Jess is currently undertaking her Yin yoga teacher training and will also offer this style of yoga on our retreat.

PLANT BASED FOOD

We are so excited to be joined by Niki Webster, a creative and talented plant based chef, book author and founder of Rebel Recipes cookbook. She will be feeding you throughout your stay with wholesome, flavour-full, nourishing meals and one afternoon will host a plant based cooking workshop.

To request a room reservation, please email zoe-maia@maiawellco.com with your room preference. Please note that a non-refundable deposit of £400 will be required upon booking. The balance will then be due 10 weeks prior to retreat.

LOCATION

The nearest airport to the retreat villa is Pisa airport, which is a 40 minute drive away. We recommend booking onto the outbound flight below on Thursday 7th May and we will then pair you with others to share taxis to the venue. We will all travel back to Pisa together on Monday 11th May and there are various options for flight times home.
