Welcome to our cosy UK Maia Well Co. retreat home.

It’s time to put your feet up and let us look after you, nourish you, move with you and invite you along to our beautiful and welcoming retreat haven where you can truly switch off, relax and unwind. 

Set in 500 acres of countryside beauty and resurrected from old 18th century barns by award-winning design house, you’ll be welcomed to our very special Maia Well Co. retreat home, with panoramic studio views of the Cotswold hills, a heated glass surrounded indoor pool and a cosy home furnished with an eclectic mixture of furnishings and Scandi design, creating a feel of faraway travel, farmhouse chic and modern luxury. Expect brass candlesticks holding tall tapered candles, Moroccan tiles laying underfoot, dried homemade floral decor, exposed Cotswold stone walls adorned with tapestries and abstract art and individually designed bedrooms, some with freestanding bathtubs. All bedrooms have cloud like luxury linen and underfloor heating in all the bathrooms to keep you cosy and warm throughout your stay with our much loved Bamford toiletries throughout the house, too.

We will be running one 3 night mid-week retreat between Monday 27th Nov (arrival from 10am) – Thursday 30th Nov (departure 9.30am) and one 3 night weekend retreat between Thursday 30th Nov (arrival from midday) – Sunday 3rd Dec (departure 10am).

Join us this winter for a cosy getaway to restore and nourish yourself from the inside out. We’ve created a thoughtfully curated and well balanced schedule of daily movement practices, local walks, facial treatments, cooking workshops, wholesome food, mindful candle making and plenty of relaxation time! All of this from the comfort of your very own peaceful and picturesque Cotswolds holiday home.


The Practice

We will be offering a mindfully created schedule of movement practices throughout your stay.

You can expect daily feel good dynamic Pilates classes led by Zoe-Maia to start your day, designed to sculpt, lengthen and energise. In the evenings, we’ll wind down with candlelit restorative sessions, to calm the mind, stretch out the body and promote restful sleep throughout the retreat.

All practices are suitable for all levels and modifications will be provided.

Zoe-Maia is the founder of Maia Well Co., a qualified Holistic Health Coach, experienced Retreat Host and Classical & Contemporary Pilates instructor. 

She began to study Pilates after years of falling in love with the practice and learning first hand of its significant benefits to both the mind and body, following years of burn-out during her previous career in the corporate world. After over a thousand hours of teaching experience, Zoe’s classes are designed with both physical and mental wellbeing in mind, using conscious dynamic Pilates exercises which focus upon developing core strength, lengthening and toning all muscles to promote improved posture, balance and alignment, whilst using conscious breath-work to facilitate movement, calm the mind and improve flexibility.


Plant Based Food

Nourishing, sustainably sourced and delicious plant based food is at the heart of all our retreats.

Our wonderful chefs will lovingly create three delicious meals per day using seasonal, wholesome and fresh ingredients, sourced from local suppliers and farmers in the Cotswolds, full of flavour, health and vibrancy. All food is homemade and made fresh on each day of the retreat.

For breakfast on winter retreats, we love to make homemade chia with windfall fruits, warming porridge or bircher, crunchy nutty granolas, fresh fruit, eggs, buckwheat pancakes & more. For lunches and dinners, you can expect wholesome & vibrant roasted vegetable creations such as harissa roasted cauliflower with smoked butterbean dips, coal roasted aubergine with carrot top pesto & red pepper hummus, winter squash & cocounut curry with black rice & garlic raita, courgette fillets with kombucha chimichurri & candied pecans, seasonal salads with kolrabi & miso slaw, sweet & sour pumpkin & oxfordshire leaves, chickpea tartlets with beetroot, blackcurrant & wilted greens… and lots more!

Dietary requirements will always be catered for.

Location

On the Map: The venue is located in Whittington near Cheltenham, with easy access to several major Cotswold villages and approx. 30 min by car from Gloucester.

By Car: The property is around two hours drive from central London and about half an hour from the major city of Gloucester.

By Train: The journey time to nearby Moreton-in-Marsh from London Paddington is approx. an hour and a half, followed by a 30 min taxi to the house.

By Air: Gloucestershire airport is the closest runway, around 20 minutes by car. Heathrow airport is under two hours by car.

Please let us know if you are travelling by train and we can organise taxis to / from the venue.
